Business Challenge
The Skoda Fabia hit the market sporting an array of gadgets. The ad campaign, complete with the strap line “Full of Lovely Stuff”, saw a version of the car made entirely out of cake. Cubo PR was tasked with launching the campaign editorially across national and broadcast media.

Creative Execution
Our solution was simple – write the release as a recipe card, getting journalists excited about the volume of ingredients. Exclusive behind-the-scenes videos were leaked to the media to further increase the noise around the campaign, showing how the cake was made.
Campaign Results
All coverage focused on the genius behind the advertisement, heralding Skoda as the talked brand of the moment. Media hits included ten national newspaper features, two BBC Radio 1 articles and extensive consumer lifestyle and trade press coverage. Currently there are over 350,000 Google searches for “Skoda Cake”, YouTube video ratings averaged 4.5, and on Facebook a total of nine ‘Ad Loving’ groups for the Skoda creative were made with over 2,500 members. Over £700,000 worth of editorial coverage was generated through the campaign.
